Ghanaian Media Personality Peace Hyde Appointed Director of Global Strategic Partnerships at TIME Africa

Award-winning Ghanaian media personality, journalist and producer Peace Hyde has been appointed

Director of Global Strategic Partnerships at TIME Africa marking a significant new chapter in her career and further cementing her position as one of Africa’s influential media executives.

Hyde joins TIME Africa after more than a decade with Forbes Africa where she rose through the ranks from West Africa Correspondent to Head of Digital Media and Partnerships. In that capacity she was responsible for driving digital audience and revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships and strengthening the publication’s digital presence across the continent.

Her work at Forbes Africa extended beyond journalism into content development and television production. She created and hosted Forbes Africa’s My Worst Day an interview series that explored the challenges and setbacks behind the success stories of leading African entrepreneurs and business figures.

The programme was distributed through CNBC Africa and according to Forbes Africa’s media materials, reached audiences across 16 sub-Saharan African countries.

Hyde also created and produced Forbes Woman Africa’s Against All Odds further expanding her role from correspondent and presenter into original-content development and executive production. Her ability to combine journalism, television, digital media and strategic partnerships became a defining feature of her career at Forbes Africa.

Beyond Forbes Africa, Hyde has built an impressive production portfolio. In 2021, she created and executive-produced Netflix’s Young, Famous & African becoming the creative force behind the first African unscripted Netflix original reality series.

The production went on to gain international recognition and establish Hyde as a major player at the intersection of African media, entertainment and global storytelling.

Her media career has also included work with international platforms and productions including the award-winning VICE News documentary Inside Nigeria’s Push to End Police Brutality.

She has additionally worked as a television host and producer building a career that spans journalism, broadcast, digital media, entertainment and content creation.

Her appointment at TIME Africa now takes that experience onto another major global media platform. In her new role Hyde will focus on building strategic relationships for TIME Africa, identifying new growth opportunities and developing original intellectual property capable of connecting with audiences across Africa and internationally.

The appointment represents a natural progression in Hyde’s career from telling Africa’s business stories as a journalist, to building digital audiences and partnerships at Forbes Africa, creating internationally recognised television content, and now helping shape the growth and global partnerships of TIME Africa.

With more than a decade of experience across journalism, digital media, television production, entertainment and strategic partnerships, Hyde's latest appointment further positions her as a leading Ghanaian voice in the global African media landscape.
